Menopause Programs

Welcome to Menopause! For many women this can be an incredibly challenging time in their lives.

Starting from perimenopause, right through to Menopause (and beyond), this phase is usually associated with the onset of unexplainable weight gain, a decline in bone density, low energy levels, poor sleep, and crazy mood swings. There is so much misinformation out there, and we understand that it can be overwhelming.

The good news is that the team at Studio A are here to help you thrive through your Menopause years (and beyond).

Women’s Wellness Open Day

With so many food products on the market and mixed messages about what is good and not good for us, it is little wonder that many people are confused about what constitutes a healthy ‘real world’ diet.

Strength for Menopause

When a woman starts to enter the Menopause phase of their life (starting from perimenopause) the body’s ability to retain and gain muscle mass becomes a lot more challenging.

Without the support of our hormones to build and retain muscle, it is up to us to turn to the ‘manual method’ of stimulating the body to produce and preserve muscle. How do we do this? We achieve this by doing heavy strength training.

If you are reading this and have not ever done strength work before, please do not be deterred.

Heavy strength training is relative to your current ability – for a strength veteran, that may be physically lifting heavy weights…for someone new to the game, this will be scaled down and then gradually built up over time.

Muscle mass is going to help a Menopausal woman keep her weight under control, reduce body fat, improve posture and functional movement, and so much more!

Our Strength for Menopause classes runs in 6 week blocks each Tuesday and Thursday 5.15 pm – 6 pm.

Building Strong Bones

1 in every 3 women over the age of 50 will suffer from a bone related disease.

The good news is, with the right training and guided regime, you can prolong the deterioration of your bone health and improve the quality of your day to day living.

Our Building Strong Bones program is specifically designed and tailored to Menopausal (and post-menopausal) women, women who are 50 years and older, and women who have been diagnosed with a bone related disease (osteopenia/osteoporosis or similar).

Each session will be different, and we will also provide you with some tips/tricks that you can implement into your day-to-day life to give your bones that extra boost.

All ages and fitness abilities are welcome. You do not have to have a baseline fitness level to join us!

Our classes run in 6 week blocks each Monday 9.30am – 10.15am.

Ready to get started? Our classes kick off from Monday 6th January 2025! Register now!
